Frankie Anderson-Byrne

Frankie has been working as a journalist since 2018, where she got her start at an independently-owned regional newspaper fresh out of high school. There, she found her passion in the magic of human interest feature writing, intricate and considered story-telling and championing community-based culture, arts, music and events.

People have always been at the heart of this passion, but her love for vibrant culture and thriving art eventually found her as Editor of Forte Magazine, based in Geelong, before moving over to Naarm’s longest running street press; Beat Magazine, where she currently works as Assistant Editor. Outside of work, though it remains entwined with her personal life, Frankie enjoys soaking up sunshine with friends, solo walks exploring Melbourne, orange wine, a good book and a cup of tea on a thunderstormy day, anything with cheese and finding new music to dance to.
